Reason for Policy

To outline the policy for use of personal property for ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ operations.

Policy Statement

As a general policy, employees should not use personal property on ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ premises to perform their jobs.  Exceptions to this policy may be approved by the administrative head if it is believed to be in the best interest of the ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ.  In such cases, an agreement should be executed between the employee and the ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ.  This policy does not affect use of personal vehicles.

If employees use personal property such as cell phones, tablets, computers, calculators, or tools, the ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ will not insure or assume liability for the loss or damage of said property.

There may be circumstances where the use of personal property, such as musical instruments or special equipment, may be appropriate in the conduct of ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ responsibilities.  In such cases, an agreement should be executed between the employee and their administrative superior.  This agreement shall identify the equipment to be used and the length of service required.
