Laboratory Equipment, Supplies & Services used in research facilities and for student educational purposes. 

The ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ of Missouri has a Prime Vendor relationship with Fisher Scientific.  Purchases from Fisher Scientific Schein are available through Show Me Shop.

  • If an item is not available from Fisher Scientific, the ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ has the ability to access group purchasing cooperatives for some items.  Contact the Strategic Sourcing Specialist listed for assistance.
  • Insurance requirements â€“ Any supplier who is performing work on ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ property MUST have a current certificate of insurance on file with UM Procurement. Contact UM Procurement before proceeding with any of this type of work.

Payment Methods

  • Purchase from Show Me Shop if available.  
  • Purchases not available through Show Me Shop and less than $5,000 may be purchased using the ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ One Card.
  • If the cost is over $5,000 a PeopleSoft Non-Catalog requisition must be entered and a purchase order processed by UM Procurement. 
  • Purchases over $10,000 and NOT from a contracted supplier, will require competitive bidding with detailed specifications prepared by UM Procurement.  Submit a PeopleSoft non-catalog Requisition and attach specifications or contact the Strategic Sourcing Specialist listed for assistance. 
  • If there will be multiple purchases made over a period of time, a blanket purchase order should be requested. 
  • When a ¾Ã²ÝÈȾòÝÊÓƵ purchase order is issued, invoices with the PO# clearly notated should be sent to Accounts Payable for processing.
